  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 5 tablespoons shortening
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup finely chopped raw rhubarb

Method

  1. 1 Combine sugar, water, and shortening in a bowl.
  2. 2 Add egg, flour, baking powder, salt, and chopped rhubarb. Beat to mix.
