Baked Potato Slices With Sage Onion Topping
Ingredients
- 2 large potatoes
- 6 onions
- 2 teaspoons sage
- 1 ounce bread crumbs
- 2 ounces butter
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
Method
- 1 Peel potatoes and slice lengthwise into 1/2-inch thick slices.
- 2 Grease a baking dish with 1.5 ounces of butter and arrange potato slices inside.
- 3 Boil onions for 15 minutes in salted water; add sage in the last 5 minutes.
- 4 Chop onions and sage, then mix with bread crumbs, remaining 0.5 ounce butter, salt, and pepper.
- 5 Spread the mixture thickly over the potato slices and bake for 1.5 to 2 hours.
