Baked Pork And Mutton Bean Stew
Ingredients
- 1 onion, sliced
- butter
- pork, cut into pieces, fat and skin removed
- mutton, cut into pieces, fat and skin removed
- water
- vegetables (sliced carrots, turnips, green cabbage)
- white haricot beans
- salt
- pepper
Method
- 1 Slice an onion and fry it in butter until brown.
- 2 Add pieces of pork and mutton (freed from fat and skin) to the pan.
- 3 Cover with water and add sliced carrots, turnips, and green cabbage.
- 4 Place in the oven to cook until meat and vegetables are tender.
- 5 Boil haricot beans with salt and pepper until tender.
- 6 Add the cooked beans and a small amount of their cooking liquid to the stew.
