Baked Popovers
Ingredients
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups flour
- 2 eggs, whites and yolks beaten separately
- 1 teaspoon salt
Method
- 1 Mix the salt with the flour.
- 2 Mix the beaten egg yolks with the milk, then slowly add to the flour to create a smooth batter.
- 3 Fold in the whipped egg whites.
- 4 Pour batter into hot greased gem pans, filling them halfway.
- 5 Bake in a hot oven (425°F) for 30 minutes.
- 6 Serve immediately, as they will collapse once the heat is lost.
