Baked Popovers

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 eggs, whites and yolks beaten separately
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Method

  1. 1 Mix the salt with the flour.
  2. 2 Mix the beaten egg yolks with the milk, then slowly add to the flour to create a smooth batter.
  3. 3 Fold in the whipped egg whites.
  4. 4 Pour batter into hot greased gem pans, filling them halfway.
  5. 5 Bake in a hot oven (425°F) for 30 minutes.
  6. 6 Serve immediately, as they will collapse once the heat is lost.
