Baked Parsnips With Crisco

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Crisco
  • 5 parsnips
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. 1 Peel and wash parsnips, then cut them in half lengthwise.
  2. 2 Steam the parsnips for one hour until tender.
  3. 3 Place steamed parsnips in a greased baking pan.
  4. 4 Season with salt and pepper, then spread Crisco over the top.
  5. 5 Bake in a slow oven (300°F) until tender and heated through.
