Baked Parsnips With Crisco
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Crisco
- 5 parsnips
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- 1 Peel and wash parsnips, then cut them in half lengthwise.
- 2 Steam the parsnips for one hour until tender.
- 3 Place steamed parsnips in a greased baking pan.
- 4 Season with salt and pepper, then spread Crisco over the top.
- 5 Bake in a slow oven (300°F) until tender and heated through.
