Baked Onion And Egg Casserole
Ingredients
- 4 medium English onions
- 1 1/2 oz butter
- 2 oz Allinson breadcrumbs
- 4 eggs
- 4 tbsp milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- 1 Peel and slice the onions. Place them in a pie dish with butter and seasoning.
- 2 Bake the onions until quite soft.
- 3 Whip the eggs and mix with milk, breadcrumbs, and the baked onions.
- 4 Pour the mixture into a greased pie dish and bake in a moderately hot oven (350°F) until set.
- 5 Serve with tomato sauce.
