Baked Oatmeal Pudding

Ingredients

  • 2 cups oatmeal
  • 2 quarts water
  • salt

Method

  1. 1 Stir oatmeal into boiling salted water and boil for 10 minutes.
  2. 2 Pour mixture into a buttered earthen dish, cover, and bake at 300°F for 2 hours.
  3. 3 Place dish in a pan of boiling water and bake for 45 minutes.
