Baked Nut Bread Loaf
Ingredients
- 1 quart flour
- 4 level teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped nuts
- 1 ½ cups milk
Method
- 1 Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together in a large bowl.
- 2 Stir in chopped nuts, then gradually add milk and mix thoroughly.
- 3 Knead the mixture into a loaf shape and place it in a square pan.
- 4 Brush the top with melted butter and let it stand for twenty minutes.
- 5 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for three-quarters of an hour.
