Baked Mashed Potatoes With Butter And Milk

  • 1 dozen large potatoes
  • 1 ounce fresh butter
  • 3 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Method

  1. 1 Wash and scrub potatoes until clean. Bake until done.
  2. 2 Prick potatoes with a fork to release steam. Wipe off charred skin.
  3. 3 Heat milk and butter in a saucepan.
  4. 4 Halve potatoes and squeeze them into the hot milk and butter mixture.
  5. 5 Add salt and pepper. Beat vigorously with a fork until smooth and lump-free.
  6. 6 Transfer to a hot dish, pile up, and mark with a fork. Heat in oven for 2-3 minutes.
