Baked Macaroni With Tomato Cheese And Peas

  • 1 cup macaroni
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 pint tomatoes, juice and pulp
  • 1 cup grated cheese
  • ½ cup fat
  • ½ cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne

Method

  1. 1 Cook macaroni in 1 quart boiling water with 1 teaspoon salt until tender; drain.
  2. 2 Melt fat, add flour, salt, and cayenne. Gradually stir in tomatoes and bring to a boil.
  3. 3 Remove from heat, stir in cheese and peas.
  4. 4 Place macaroni in a greased baking dish, pour sauce over, and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
