Baked Macaroni With Tomato Cheese And Peas
Ingredients
- 1 cup macaroni
- 1 cup peas
- 1 pint tomatoes, juice and pulp
- 1 cup grated cheese
- ½ cup fat
- ½ cup flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne
Method
- 1 Cook macaroni in 1 quart boiling water with 1 teaspoon salt until tender; drain.
- 2 Melt fat, add flour, salt, and cayenne. Gradually stir in tomatoes and bring to a boil.
- 3 Remove from heat, stir in cheese and peas.
- 4 Place macaroni in a greased baking dish, pour sauce over, and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
