Baked Macaroni With Cheese

Ingredients

  • 4 oz ribbon macaroni
  • 1 cup boiling milk, broth, or water
  • 1 oz grated cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 oz grated Parmesan or Cheshire cheese
  • bread crumbs (optional)

Method

  1. 1 Place macaroni in a stew-pan with boiling milk, broth, or water. Boil gently for 15 minutes until tender.
  2. 2 Stir in grated cheese and salt. Mix well and transfer to a serving dish.
  3. 3 Top with Parmesan or Cheshire cheese and brown lightly in a Dutch oven. Alternatively, mix all cheese into the pasta and top with bread crumbs before browning.
