Baked Macaroni With Cheese
Ingredients
- 4 oz ribbon macaroni
- 1 cup boiling milk, broth, or water
- 1 oz grated cheese
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 oz grated Parmesan or Cheshire cheese
- bread crumbs (optional)
Method
- 1 Place macaroni in a stew-pan with boiling milk, broth, or water. Boil gently for 15 minutes until tender.
- 2 Stir in grated cheese and salt. Mix well and transfer to a serving dish.
- 3 Top with Parmesan or Cheshire cheese and brown lightly in a Dutch oven. Alternatively, mix all cheese into the pasta and top with bread crumbs before browning.
