Baked Macaroni And Round Steak Casserole
Ingredients
- 1/2 package macaroni
- 1/2 can tomatoes
- 3 tbsp Crisco
- 2 onions
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup grated cheese
- 1 lb round steak
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Method
- 1 Break macaroni into inch lengths. Boil in plenty of water with 1 tbsp Crisco for 20 minutes, then drain.
- 2 Chop the round steak and onions using a food chopper or knife.
- 3 Layer macaroni in a greased fireproof dish. Top with chopped meat, onions, tomatoes, cheese, breadcrumbs, and seasonings. Drizzle with melted remaining Crisco.
- 4 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for one hour.
