Baked Macaroni And Round Steak Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1/2 package macaroni
  • 1/2 can tomatoes
  • 3 tbsp Crisco
  • 2 onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese
  • 1 lb round steak
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

Method

  1. 1 Break macaroni into inch lengths. Boil in plenty of water with 1 tbsp Crisco for 20 minutes, then drain.
  2. 2 Chop the round steak and onions using a food chopper or knife.
  3. 3 Layer macaroni in a greased fireproof dish. Top with chopped meat, onions, tomatoes, cheese, breadcrumbs, and seasonings. Drizzle with melted remaining Crisco.
  4. 4 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for one hour.
