Baked Lemon Bread Pudding
Ingredients
- 1 pint milk
- 3 oz bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 3 oz moist sugar
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Half the grated rind of 1 lemon
- Butter (amount not specified)
Method
- 1 Place bread crumbs in a basin.
- 2 Boil milk with butter and sugar, then pour over the crumbs.
- 3 Stir in the well-beaten egg, then add the lemon juice and grated rind.
- 4 Pour the mixture into a greased pie dish.
- 5 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until set.
