Baked Lemon Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 pint milk
  • 3 oz bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 3 oz moist sugar
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Half the grated rind of 1 lemon
  • Butter (amount not specified)

Method

  1. 1 Place bread crumbs in a basin.
  2. 2 Boil milk with butter and sugar, then pour over the crumbs.
  3. 3 Stir in the well-beaten egg, then add the lemon juice and grated rind.
  4. 4 Pour the mixture into a greased pie dish.
