Baked Halibut With Lemon Parsley Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 halibut steaks
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon minced parsley
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 2 cups boiling water

Method

  1. 1 Soak halibut steaks for 1 hour in lemon juice seasoned with salt, pepper, and minced parsley. Drain and pat dry.
  2. 2 In a saucepan, whisk butter, flour, and boiling water. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
  3. 3 Place halibut in a buttered baking dish. Pour the sauce over the fish and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes, basting occasionally.
  4. 4 Serve the halibut with the pan sauce or any preferred side sauce.
