Baked Ground Beef And Potato Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 5 pounds ground beef (85% lean)
  • 1 can potatoes (or 1 package hash browns)
  • 5 ounces cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 can water

Method

  1. 1 Peel and dice the onion into 1/4-inch pieces.
  2. 2 Cook ground beef and onions in a skillet until browned. Drain the fat.
  3. 3 Stir in the mushroom soup and 1/2 can of water.
  4. 4 Scrub potatoes under cold water, slice into 1/2-inch thick pieces, and place in the bottom of a casserole dish.
  5. 5 Spread the meat and soup mixture evenly over the potatoes.
  6. 6 Bake at 350°F for 45 minutes until potatoes are tender and the casserole is bubbly and browned.
