Baked Gooseberry Custard
Ingredients
- 1 quart gooseberries
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup bread crumbs
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 ounce butter
- sugar to taste
Method
- 1 Scald the gooseberries and pass them through a sieve.
- 2 Stir in the eggs, bread crumbs, flour, butter, and sugar.
- 3 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until set.
