Baked Fruit Pie
Ingredients
- Pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
- Fruit
- Sugar
- Cornstarch
- 1 egg white
- Cold water
Method
- 1 Prepare the bottom crust using very cold water. Roll thin, prick with a fork, brush with egg white, and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
- 2 Stew the fruit and sweeten to taste. If the fruit is juicy, sprinkle a layer of cornstarch over it.
- 3 Place the top crust over the fruit, pinch the edges, and make several incisions in the top.
- 4 Sprinkle the top with granulated sugar and bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until golden.
