Baked Eggs With Gruyère And Parsley

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 3 oz Gruyère cheese
  • 1 oz butter
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped parsley
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. 1 Spread butter on a flat baking dish and lay very thin slices of Gruyère cheese on top.
  2. 2 Break the eggs onto the cheese slices, keeping the yolks whole.
  3. 3 Grate the remaining cheese and mix with parsley, then strew over the eggs.
  4. 4 Bake in a hot oven (425°F) for 5 to 7 minutes.
