Baked Custard Puffs
Ingredients
- 2 cups milk
- ½ cup butter
- 1½ cups sifted flour
- 5 eggs
Method
- 1 Boil milk and butter together in a saucepan.
- 2 Stir in sifted flour and let the mixture cool slightly.
- 3 Beat eggs separately and stir them into the batter.
- 4 Fill buttered custard cups halfway with batter.
- 5 Bake in a 425°F oven until puffed and golden.
- 6 Serve immediately on a hot plate, sprinkled with sugar if desired.
