Baked Custard Pudding
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 1 heaping tablespoon butter
- ½ cup flour
- 3 eggs
- dash of salt
Method
- 1 Heat milk in a double boiler until hot, then add butter.
- 2 Bring milk to a boil, add flour, and beat vigorously until the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
- 3 Remove from heat and gradually stir in well-beaten eggs and salt, continuing to beat until no longer stringy.
- 4 Pour into a warm greased pudding dish and bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 30-35 minutes until puffed with a thick crust.
