Baked Custard Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 heaping tablespoon butter
  • ½ cup flour
  • 3 eggs
  • dash of salt

Method

  1. 1 Heat milk in a double boiler until hot, then add butter.
  2. 2 Bring milk to a boil, add flour, and beat vigorously until the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
  3. 3 Remove from heat and gradually stir in well-beaten eggs and salt, continuing to beat until no longer stringy.
  4. 4 Pour into a warm greased pudding dish and bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 30-35 minutes until puffed with a thick crust.
