Baked Custard Pudding With Jam

Ingredients

  • 2 tsp flour
  • 1 packet Allinson custard powder
  • 1 oz butter
  • 1 pint milk
  • sugar to taste
  • apricot or other jam for decoration

Method

  1. 1 Mix flour and custard powder with a few tablespoons of milk to form a smooth, thin paste.
  2. 2 Boil the remaining milk with sugar and butter until quite boiling.
  3. 3 Pour the hot milk mixture into the paste and stir briskly.
  4. 4 Pour into a greased pie dish and brown slightly in a moderate oven (350°F).
  5. 5 Serve decorated with apricot or other jam on top.
