Baked Currant Bread Pudding
Ingredients
- baker's bread, sliced thin
- butter
- fresh currants, stewed and sweetened
- sugar
- cream
Method
- 1 Butter a small baking dish. Arrange thin slices of buttered baker's bread in the dish.
- 2 Alternate layers of stewed and sweetened fresh currants with the bread, ensuring fruit is on top.
- 3 Cover the dish and bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 30 minutes.
- 4 Cool slightly and serve with additional sugar and cream.
