Baked Creamed Fish With Bread Crumbs

  • leftover cold fish
  • ½ cup cream
  • ½ tbsp anchovy sauce
  • ½ tsp prepared mustard
  • ½ tsp walnut ketchup
  • salt and pepper
  • bread crumbs
  • small bits of butter

Method

  1. 1 Pick the fish from the bones and place it in a stew pan with cream, anchovy sauce, mustard, walnut ketchup, salt, and pepper.
  2. 2 Heat the mixture gently over the fire, stirring occasionally, until nearly hot but not boiling.
  3. 3 Transfer the mixture to a deep baking dish and top with bread crumbs and small bits of butter.
  4. 4 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until the top is nearly browned. Serve hot.
