Baked Creamed Fish With Bread Crumbs
Ingredients
- leftover cold fish
- ½ cup cream
- ½ tbsp anchovy sauce
- ½ tsp prepared mustard
- ½ tsp walnut ketchup
- salt and pepper
- bread crumbs
- small bits of butter
Method
- 1 Pick the fish from the bones and place it in a stew pan with cream, anchovy sauce, mustard, walnut ketchup, salt, and pepper.
- 2 Heat the mixture gently over the fire, stirring occasionally, until nearly hot but not boiling.
- 3 Transfer the mixture to a deep baking dish and top with bread crumbs and small bits of butter.
- 4 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until the top is nearly browned. Serve hot.
