Baked Cream Puffs
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup Crisco
- 1/2 cup water
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Method
- 1 Bring Crisco and water to a boil in a small saucepan.
- 2 Add flour and salt, stirring well with a wooden spoon until the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
- 3 Remove from heat and allow to cool until warm, not cold.
- 4 Add eggs one at a time, beating each one thoroughly into the mixture.
- 5 Turn mixture onto a greased plate and divide into small puffs or cakes.
- 6 Place on greased tins and bake in a hot oven (425°F) for 30 minutes until golden brown.
