Baked Cream Potatoes
Ingredients
- raw potatoes, sliced very thin
- butter, for greasing dish and layering
- salt
- pepper
- 1 pint cream or rich milk
Method
- 1 Butter an earthen dish. Place a layer of thinly sliced raw potatoes in the dish.
- 2 Add pieces of butter, then season with salt and pepper. Repeat layers until the dish is full.
- 3 Pour 1 pint of cream or rich milk over the top. Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 30 minutes.
