Baked Cornmeal Spoon Bread With Sweet Peppers

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1/3 cup sweet pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fat
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons salt

Method

  1. 1 Mix water and cornmeal and bring to the boiling point. Cook for 5 minutes.
  2. 2 Beat eggs well and add them along with the remaining ingredients to the mush. Beat well.
  3. 3 Pour into a well-greased pan and bake in a hot oven (425°F) for 25 minutes.
  4. 4 Serve from the same dish with a spoon, accompanied by milk or syrup.
