Ingredients

  • 1/2 pint water
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 5 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Method

  1. 1 Boil water and butter together in a saucepan.
  2. 2 Stir in flour while boiling, then remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes.
  3. 3 Gradually stir in beaten eggs and baking soda until smooth.
  4. 4 Drop batter into pans, filling them halfway.
  5. 5 Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
