Baked Choux Pastry Cream Puffs
Ingredients
- 5 oz flour
- 2 oz butter
- 3 oz granulated sugar
- 3 whole eggs
- ½ pint water
Method
- 1 Sift flour into a bowl. In a saucepan, bring butter and water to a boil.
- 2 Remove from heat, stir in flour and sugar. Return to heat and beat until mixture leaves sides of pan.
- 3 Remove from heat and beat in eggs one at a time until smooth.
- 4 Shape dough into egg shapes using two dessertspoons dipped in hot water.
- 5 Place on greased baking sheet and bake at 350°F for one hour.
- 6 Open cakes at the side and fill with whipped cream or preserve. Brush with egg white or sugar syrup and sprinkle with pistachios, coconut, or sprinkles.
