Baked Chocolate Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 1 quart milk
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3 squares Baker's Chocolate
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 6 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla

Method

  1. 1 Heat milk, salt, and chocolate in a double boiler until chocolate melts.
  2. 2 Mix flour with a little cold milk, then stir into the hot milk mixture.
  3. 3 Cook for 10 minutes, then pour over condensed milk, eggs, and sugar.
  4. 4 Cook for 4 more minutes while stirring, then strain and cool.
  5. 5 Stir in vanilla and freeze according to your ice cream maker's instructions.
