Baked Chicken Macaroni Casserole
Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked macaroni, broken
- 2 cups cold cooked chicken, shredded
- 2 tbsp butter, for greasing dish
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ½ cup cream
- ½ cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp butter, for dotting
- ½ cup grated cheese
Method
- 1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a baking dish with butter.
- 2 Layer shredded chicken and broken macaroni in the dish, seasoning each layer with salt, pepper, and small pats of butter.
- 3 Pour cream over the layers. Top with breadcrumbs, dots of butter, and grated cheese.
- 4 Bake until browned and bubbly, about 20-25 minutes. Serve directly from the dish.
