Baked Cheese Rice Casserole
Ingredients
- 1 heaping tbsp butter
- 1 heaping tbsp flour
- 1/3 tsp white pepper
- 1 1/2 cups milk
- Rice, cooked
- Grated cheese
Method
- 1 Make a white sauce by melting butter, whisking in flour and pepper, then stirring in milk until thickened.
- 2 In a deep baking dish, layer cooked rice, white sauce, and grated cheese, ending with a layer of cheese.
- 3 Bake in a hot oven (425°F) until the top is browned and bubbly.
