Baked Cheese Gnocchi

Ingredients

  • 2-3 large potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Milk, as needed
  • Salt
  • Butter
  • Grated Parmesan cheese
  • Grated Cheddar cheese

Method

  1. 1 Boil potatoes until tender, then pass them through a fine sieve into a bowl.
  2. 2 Mix in flour, beaten egg, salt, and enough milk to form a firm, smooth paste.
  3. 3 Roll the dough into a sausage shape, cut into ¾-inch rounds, and dry in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  4. 4 Boil gnocchi in salted water for 10 minutes, then remove with a slotted spoon.
  5. 5 Layer gnocchi in a buttered dish with butter and grated cheeses between layers.
  6. 6 Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes until browned and serve hot.
