Baked Cheese Gnocchi
Ingredients
- 2-3 large potatoes
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 egg, beaten
- Milk, as needed
- Salt
- Butter
- Grated Parmesan cheese
- Grated Cheddar cheese
Method
- 1 Boil potatoes until tender, then pass them through a fine sieve into a bowl.
- 2 Mix in flour, beaten egg, salt, and enough milk to form a firm, smooth paste.
- 3 Roll the dough into a sausage shape, cut into ¾-inch rounds, and dry in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- 4 Boil gnocchi in salted water for 10 minutes, then remove with a slotted spoon.
- 5 Layer gnocchi in a buttered dish with butter and grated cheeses between layers.
- 6 Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes until browned and serve hot.
