Baked Cheese And Milk Bread Pudding
Ingredients
- 1 bread roll, crusts removed
- Butter
- Grated cheese
- 1 cup milk
- Pepper
- Salt
- Nutmeg
Method
- 1 Slice the bread roll and remove the crusts to leave round slices of crumb.
- 2 Butter each slice, cover generously with grated cheese, and stack the slices on top of each other.
- 3 Boil milk with pepper, salt, and a little nutmeg, then pour it over the bread stack until well soaked.
- 4 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 15 minutes, basting occasionally with the pan juices until the top is crusty.
