  • 1 medium cauliflower, boiled and cooled
  • 1 lb cold boiled potatoes
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 8 oz Allinson fine wheatmeal
  • 1.5 oz butter
  • 4 oz grated cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. 1 Chop the boiled cauliflower and potatoes into bite-sized pieces.
  2. 2 Whisk together the milk, eggs, wheatmeal, salt, and pepper to form a smooth batter.
  3. 3 Place the vegetables in a pie dish, sprinkling half the cheese between the layers.
  4. 4 Pour the batter over the vegetables, dot with butter bits, and top with remaining cheese.
  5. 5 Bake for 1 hour until golden and set.
