Baked Cake Pudding
Ingredients
- 3 cups stale cake crumbs
- 1 ½ cups milk
- 3 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Butter and fine bread crumbs for greasing the mold
Method
- 1 Pour milk over cake crumbs and let soak until soft.
- 2 Stir in melted butter and beaten eggs; beat well.
- 3 Pour mixture into a buttered and bread-crumb-dusted mold.
- 4 Place mold in a pan of hot water in a 350°F oven.
- 5 Cover to prevent browning and bake for 45 minutes.
- 6 Serve hot with fruit or wine sauce.
