Baked Butter Pretzel Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 pound flour
• 1 package baking powder
• 200 g sugar
• 100 g butter
• 2 eggs
• 4 to 6 tablespoons milk
• 1 egg, beaten (for wash)

Method

1. 1 Mix flour and baking powder in a bowl. Add sugar and butter, then combine.
2. 2 Add 2 eggs and 4 to 6 tablespoons of milk. Knead into a fine dough.
3. 3 Roll small portions into thin strips and shape into pretzels.
4. 4 Brush with beaten egg and place on a buttered baking sheet.
5. 5 Bake in a hot oven until golden brown. Store in tins to keep crisp.
