Baked Bread Pudding With Figs And Nuts
Ingredients
- 1 cup stale breadcrumbs
- 2 cups scalded milk
- ½ cup corn syrup
- ½ cup chopped nuts
- 2 eggs
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
- ½ cup chopped figs, dates or raisins
Method
- 1 Pour scalded milk over breadcrumbs.
- 2 Beat eggs and add them along with the remaining ingredients.
- 3 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 25 to 35 minutes.
