Baked Bread Pudding With Currants
Ingredients
- 0.5 lb bread scraps
- 1 quart boiling milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 oz sugar
- 0.5 lb currants
Method
- 1 Soak bread scraps in cold water until soft, then squeeze dry and beat with a fork.
- 2 Pour boiling milk over the bread and stir in sugar and well-beaten eggs.
- 3 Stir in currants, place in a pie dish, and bake for two hours.
