Baked Bread Pudding With Currants

Ingredients

  • 0.5 lb bread scraps
  • 1 quart boiling milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 oz sugar
  • 0.5 lb currants

Method

  1. 1 Soak bread scraps in cold water until soft, then squeeze dry and beat with a fork.
  2. 2 Pour boiling milk over the bread and stir in sugar and well-beaten eggs.
  3. 3 Stir in currants, place in a pie dish, and bake for two hours.
