Baked Beef And Potatoes
Ingredients
- Beef (chuck, ribs, or mouse buttock)
- Potatoes, peeled
- Salt
- Pepper
- Flour
- Water
Method
- 1 Season the beef generously with salt, pepper, and flour.
- 2 Place the beef on a trivet in a baking dish with peeled potatoes and half a pint of water.
- 3 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F), turning the meat every 20 minutes.
- 4 Baste the meat occasionally with the rendered fat from the dish.
