Baked Beef and Mushroom Pie
Ingredients
- 1 lb cold roast beef
- 1 dozen mushrooms
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 oz butter
- 1/2 pint beef gravy
- 2 tsp vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- 1 Slice the beef and clean the mushrooms. Season the meat with salt and pepper.
- 2 Layer half the beef in a pie dish, followed by mushrooms and half the butter pieces.
- 3 Add remaining beef, mushrooms, and butter in the same layered fashion.
- 4 Pour in the beef gravy and vinegar. Cover the dish closely.
- 5 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 45 minutes.
