  • 3 cups boiling water
  • 1 cup barley meal
  • 2 eggs

Method

  1. 1 Heat pork drippings in a saucepan until slightly brown.
  2. 2 Add boiling water and barley meal, stirring constantly.
  3. 3 Cook in a double boiler for 30 minutes, then cool.
  4. 4 Stir in well-beaten egg yolks, then fold in beaten egg whites.
  5. 5 Bake in a greased dish at 350°F for 30 minutes.
