Baked Bacon Lettuce Rolls With Gravy
Ingredients
- 1 head lettuce
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 slices bacon, chopped
- 2 tbsp chicken stock
- 1 tbsp butter
- 4 slices bread, cut into croutons
- ½ cup thick gravy
Method
- 1 Remove outer lettuce leaves, blanch in boiling water, then drain well.
- 2 Mix Parmesan, chopped bacon, and stock. Place a spoonful on each leaf.
- 3 Cover with buttered paper and bake in a hot oven (425°F) for 5 minutes.
- 4 Drain excess liquid, roll up each leaf, and place on fried croutons.
- 5 Pour thick gravy over the rolled lettuce and serve immediately.
