Baked Bacon Lettuce Rolls With Gravy

Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 slices bacon, chopped
  • 2 tbsp chicken stock
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 4 slices bread, cut into croutons
  • ½ cup thick gravy

Method

  1. 1 Remove outer lettuce leaves, blanch in boiling water, then drain well.
  2. 2 Mix Parmesan, chopped bacon, and stock. Place a spoonful on each leaf.
  3. 3 Cover with buttered paper and bake in a hot oven (425°F) for 5 minutes.
  4. 4 Drain excess liquid, roll up each leaf, and place on fried croutons.
  5. 5 Pour thick gravy over the rolled lettuce and serve immediately.
