Baked Bacon And Oyster Skewers

Ingredients

  • bacon, thinly sliced
  • oysters, shucked and dried
  • potato or turnip, small knob
  • flour, for dusting
  • chili sauce, for serving

Method

  1. 1 Cut bacon into pieces the size of an oyster. Wash oysters, remove shell bits, and pat dry.
  2. 2 Thread bacon and oysters alternately onto skewers, starting and ending with bacon. Secure ends with a small knob of potato or turnip.
  3. 3 Dust skewers thoroughly with flour. Place on a baking sheet and bake in a hot oven (425°F) for 10 minutes.
  4. 4 Serve immediately with chili sauce.
