Baked Asparagus With Cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch asparagus
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp grated cheese
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • olive oil and vinegar or lemon juice (optional)

Method

  1. 1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Trim asparagus and place whole in a fireproof dish.
  2. 2 Dust the bottom of the dish with grated cheese. Arrange asparagus points side-by-side.
  3. 3 Season with salt, pepper, remaining grated cheese, and small pieces of butter.
  4. 4 Add another layer of asparagus if desired, repeating seasoning. Bake until heated through and butter melts.
  5. 5 Serve hot. Alternatively, boil asparagus and serve with olive oil, vinegar, or lemon juice.
