Baked Asparagus With Cheese
Ingredients
- 1 bunch asparagus
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp grated cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
- olive oil and vinegar or lemon juice (optional)
Method
- 1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Trim asparagus and place whole in a fireproof dish.
- 2 Dust the bottom of the dish with grated cheese. Arrange asparagus points side-by-side.
- 3 Season with salt, pepper, remaining grated cheese, and small pieces of butter.
- 4 Add another layer of asparagus if desired, repeating seasoning. Bake until heated through and butter melts.
- 5 Serve hot. Alternatively, boil asparagus and serve with olive oil, vinegar, or lemon juice.
