Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons sago
  • 1 pint water
  • Sugar to taste
  • 4-6 apples, peeled and cored
  • Cream for serving

Method

  1. 1 Soak sago in water overnight.
  2. 2 Cook sago in a double boiler until transparent, adding water if needed and sugar to taste.
  3. 3 Place peeled and cored apples in a baking dish.
  4. 4 Pour the cooked sago over the apples.
  5. 5 Cover and bake until apples are tender.
  6. 6 Cool and serve with sugar and cream.
