Baked Apples With Marshmallows

Ingredients

  • 6 apples
  • 3/4 cup boiling water
  • 1/2 box Campfire Marshmallows
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Method

  1. 1 Wipe apples, remove cores, and cut through the skin halfway down to create points. Place apples in a baking dish.
  2. 2 Reserve six marshmallows. Cut the remaining marshmallows into pieces and place them in the center of each apple. Top with bits of butter.
  3. 3 Pour boiling water around the apples in the dish. Bake in a hot oven (425°F) until soft, basting frequently. Be careful not to lose their shape.
  4. 4 Remove from oven. Place one whole marshmallow on top of each apple. Return to oven until slightly browned.
  5. 5 Serve hot or cold with cream, surrounded by the syrup from the pan.
