Baked Apples With Apricot Jam And Milk Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 lb apples
- 2 tablespoonfuls apricot jam
- 2 tablespoonfuls sugar
- 1 oz butter
- 4 teaspoons arrowroot
- 1 pint milk
Method
- 1 Peel, core, and slice apples finely. Lay them in a pie dish and sprinkle with some sugar.
- 2 Dot with butter pieces and spread apricot jam over the apples.
- 3 Mix arrowroot with cold milk. Boil remaining milk with sugar, then stir into the arrowroot mixture until thickened.
- 4 Pour the thickened sauce over the apples and bake for 30 minutes.
