Baked Apple Tart With Lemon Whipped Cream
Ingredients
- Pastry for deep baking dish
- 3 cups peeled, cored, and quartered apples
- Grated rind and juice of 1 lemon
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- Cinnamon or nutmeg, for sprinkling
- Whipped cream, sweetened and flavored with grated lemon peel
Method
- 1 Line a deep baking dish with pastry.
- 2 Add apples, lemon rind and juice, brown sugar, and a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg.
- 3 Bake until apples are tender.
- 4 Cool the tart, then top with sweetened whipped cream flavored with grated lemon peel.
