Baked Apple Soufflé

Ingredients

  • 1 pint steamed apples
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 6 egg whites
  • 3 egg yolks
  • grated nutmeg

Method

  1. 1 Stir butter, sugar, nutmeg, and egg yolks into the hot steamed apples.
  2. 2 Allow the apple mixture to cool completely.
  3. 3 Fold well-beaten egg whites into the cooled apple mixture.
  4. 4 Pour into a buttered 3-pint dish and bake at 425°F for 30 minutes.
  5. 5 Serve immediately with any preferred sauce.
