Baked Apple Soufflé
Ingredients
- 1 pint steamed apples
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- ½ cup sugar
- 6 egg whites
- 3 egg yolks
- grated nutmeg
Method
- 1 Stir butter, sugar, nutmeg, and egg yolks into the hot steamed apples.
- 2 Allow the apple mixture to cool completely.
- 3 Fold well-beaten egg whites into the cooled apple mixture.
- 4 Pour into a buttered 3-pint dish and bake at 425°F for 30 minutes.
- 5 Serve immediately with any preferred sauce.
