Baked Apple Rice Custard
Ingredients
- 2 oz rice
- 2 cups boiling water
- 4 small apples
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 egg, well-beaten
Method
- 1 Wash rice and cook in boiling water until soft and liquid is absorbed.
- 2 Peel, chop, and cook apples in cold water until soft, then rub through a sieve.
- 3 Mix sieved apples with sugar, vanilla, beaten egg, and cooked rice.
- 4 Pour mixture into custard cups and bake at 350°F for 15 minutes.
